ANDREW CARINS MUSIC & ANDREW MAC ACOUSTIC MUSIC

Hi, I'm Andrew Carins. I live in Queensland, Australia.

You may know me as “ANDREW MACC” from my solo “ACOUSTIC MUSIC” shows. However I have performed many tribute shows in my originl name “ANDREW CARINS”.

I love music that tells a story, with a melody line that is simple and easily remembered so my audience and followers can sing along. I grew up in a musical family and have played live gigs since I was 6 years old.

My passion is songwriting. I have written a wide selection of songs across a range of genres. My song "Vietnam" has been used at commemoration events for Vietnam veterans for several years. I won the ABCs "Best Christmas Song Never Written" competition in 2009 with the song "Christmas Time". This song is  frequently requested at Christmas events, and continues to receive airplay.

Whilst I have played as a member of several bands and for audiences of 100s and 1000s, the engagement derived from connecting with people in smaller venues will always excite me the most. 

I have released two CDs. The first limited release called "For Your Ears Only" and the second "Every Song has a Story". This was to support my show of the same name and is based on a unique story in song starting with my family arriving in Australia in 1894 and how subsequent generations participated in the development of this country. A story that  is typical of many Australians and which encourages everyone to tell their unique story.
